ANOTHER “VERSION” OF GOVERNOR CHIME’S WHERE ABOUT

Gov. Sullivan Iheanacho Chime
Everyday reveals a different version regarding the where about of Enugu State governor, Sullivan Chime. Just this week, a civil society organization, SAVE ENUGU GROUP (SEG), alleged that they have confirmed that the governor who has not been seen in public since September 19, 2012, when some of his aides said he left the country for overseas to enjoy his accumulated leave, is in a London hospital.
But fresh facts emerged yesterday on the where about of the governor.
According to our  source, Gov. Chime is  undergoing treatment for an undisclosed ailment at Cromwell Hospital, an internationally renowned private hospital based in Central London. This disclosure contradicts persistent reports by some sections of the media that the PDP governor, who is serving his second term in office, has been receiving medical attention in an Indian hospital since he quietly left the country last September. It also contradicts SEG’s claim. Maxi Okwu, the convener of the SEG, in a statement  said that special investigators commissioned by SEG found Mr Chime lying ill at the Wellington Humane Hospital Swiss Cottage, London. Our source however said the press office of Cromwell Hospital  yesterday declined confirming or not if the governor is currently receiving treatment in the hospital  saying “In the interest of patient confidentiality, we do not ever comment on whether a person is or is not undergoing treatment at our hospital,” .
The source though maintained that Governor Chime is undergoing treatment in that hospital, added that he is entitled to his privacy. Cromwell Hospital, London, provides health-care facilities for United Kingdom and overseas patients majorly in areas such as cancer treatment, liver disease and transplant, neuro-surgery, spinal and heart surgery. The governor is allegedly suffering from cancer of the blood.
The hospital is located in the Kensington area of Central London, and is easily accessible from Heathrow Airport. The hospital is owned by Bupa, the leading global health-care company.
