WHERE ARE THESE SCREEN QUEENS OF 80s AND 90s?

Remember them? Barbra Soky, Liz Benson, Dolly Unachukwu, Franca Brown,Susan Patrick, Sandra Achums, Rosemary Ingbi, Obot Etuk, Gloria Anozie, Uche Obi-Osotule, Vivian Metche etc. They were the queens of the movie industry in Nigeria in the 80s and 90s. Be it home video or soaps operas. Their faces were synonymous with TV entertainment. They were good. They were what Genevieve Nnaji, Ini Edo, Stephanie Okereke, Mercy Johnson, Uche Jumbo, Rita Dominic and likes are today then. But for sometime now, they seem to have disappeared from the entertainment scene. Or would one say they have retired or is it that age or competition have taken them off the industry they used to rule?

Though once in a while we see and hear one or two stories about them. But many have described that as mere publicity stunt. To be fair, some of them have been featured in one or two recent movies. But Whatever it is, the question is “Where are these screen queens of  the 80s and 90s?”
