Prof.Kanene Okonjo and Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala
The Delta State Police Command has recorded
another success in the bid to bringing kidnappers of Prof. kanene Okonjo, mother of
the finance minister,Okonjo-Iweala to book, with the arrest, yesterday, of two
additional suspects linked to the abduction.
According to the state
police commissioner, Mr. Ikenchukwu Aduba, the names of the arreated suspects are
Chekube Okeke a.k.a Chiboy and Ifeanyi Eze a.k.a Biggy. He added that the
suspects have made confessional statements that they played key roles in the
kidnapping of Queen Kanene Okonjo. The police commissioner posited that the
suspects are currently helping the police in their investigations. Mr. Aduba
said the suspects were arrested at Uga junction in Anambra State
while trying to evade arrest of the police |
